Cap Style Wildland Firefighting Helmet

The standard BR9 is a popular lightweight helmet designed for emergency services, particularly wildland firefighting. The standard shape incorporates a narrow side brim and multiple crown ridges allow for extra strength and air flow. Also available in a wide brim shell. Face shield and eye protector are additional purchases. Please note: helmets pictured may be shown with optional features.

Description

1. Easi On-Off Base for mounting either a UK3AA, Adaro Adalit L5 torch (requires torch clip) or external face shield (optional).

2. Unique full cranium polyurethane liner provides an excellent thermal barrier and superior shock impact absorption.

3. 3-point Polyester Chin Strap. Single handed adjustment at multiple locations for maximum comfort and stability.

4. Pacific Quick Release Buckle can be easily secured, released, and adjusted with a gloved hand.

5. Goggle Attachments Choose from Goggle Posts, Rear Rubber Straps, or Rear Polyester Straps. 6. DuPont™ Kevlar® and Fibreglass Reinforced Composite Shell is 20% lighter than thermo plastic equivalent. Shell provides integral strength, excellent penetration protection, chemical resistant, UV resistant and heat resistant, expected service life of 15 years with proper care and maintenance.

7. 6-point ribbon suspension system with optional padded air mesh distributes helmet weight evenly for added comfort over prolonged use, provides good ventilation, and a secure fit culminating in high stability on head.

Fully modular for easy decontamination and replacement without special tools. Pacific ratchet adjustable headband, sizing range from 52–65cm (downsizing adjustment kits and XL sizes available).

Simple operation with a single gloved hand. Comes with comfortable front and rear leather padding. Headband and nape band can be height adjusted to suit you.

Please note that reflective trim and neck protector must be attached to your helmet for it to meet AS/NZS1801:1997 Type 3 certification.
