Description
Seaguard Class A foam extinguishes fire effectively with the properties of:
Wetting Agent:
The solution will reduce the surface tension of water from approximately 75 dynes/cm down to 22 dynes/cm. This makes the water “wetter” and gives it the ability to wet out class A fuels. The use of class A foams effectively extends the volume of water carried on a fire appliance.
Stable foam Blanket:
When used through appropriate aspirating equipment the product will produce a stable foam blanket that will smother and extinguish fires. The foam blanket provides a vapour control function and can be used in some Class B fire applications. The stable foam blanket can cling to vertical surfaces and is a “three dimensional foam”. Drainage time. The foam has a drainage rate of water from the foam blanket that
will cool and extinguish burning fuels. The continuous flow of water from the blanket also prevents the reignition of the fuel.
